Agreed about "Mikasa". It's definitely the best track on here.

Damn, like Mikasa's the one I'll probably listen to the most (maybe it is my favorite) but how're y'all gonna ignore that dirty riff in Leeloo.

this album is the best the band ever put out, and is what periphery should be for vocals.
that being said it's still fairly forgettable being mostly a fun album which is a problem the band has always faced IMHO

Love some of the lyrical content on this album. Really only found out about them when this album dropped in 2015 but it really resonated deeply with me instantly because it was around the time I started my spiritual journey. I feel like a lot of people miss out on the meaning behind a lot of the songs. Universally powerful stuff that serves as a great reminder in daily life.
I'm really liking how a lot of bands are really shining through with their "awake" views in this progressive metal genre. I wonder what started all of this. Does anyone have more bands that have similar transcendental nature portrayed in their music? Some of my favorites I can think of are Northlane, ERRA, Invent Animate, Ghost Iris, and Napoleon. It's simply beautiful how technical some of the instrumental stuff can be while they're singing and screaming about floating with the stars abound the universe hahaha. Nothing compares.

I definitely the dynamic they always have in their works, but I thought this one was just way too fast-paced. I felt like they were rushing to finish every piece of material they've got. Just listen to the lead single (I think?) "Mikasa". Quite an excuse of structure for a song that should've been quite good.
