Agree about why rate an album if you aren't into them. I'm in Relinquished camp too tho, ratings don't mean shit but I can see why some people would care. It swings both ways. So, I would never 1.0 a DragonForce record because I just can't stand them and that genre.

There's a difference between not 'being into a genre' and disliking an album though. I quite enjoy some sine wave stuff (e.g Eliane Radigue ) but Bar ใใกใ is just irredeemably shit even by minimalist electronic standards

I've said it once before, I'll say it again. ITAOT is Isis' underrated gem. Actually, I think I need to listen to it again cause it could very well overthrow Panopticon as my favorite Isis album.
