@cliint: not often man, not often. i was trying to use that as a preface to describe the album and what Lamar did in it. Sorry you didn't like it, mind letting me know what I should improve on for future reviews?

it's definitely less immediate than gkmc, that album was a classic on first listen for me

this is really something though, he managed to go unorthodox without sacrificing quality like yeezus

Got through half the album and the first song is still the best, really. Gotta love the flow though

incredibly relevant and cohesive.. certainly high points and it's super ambitious but I for some reason I STILL don't hear the instant classic like others do

"this album is hiphop for whites"

one of the most ignorant comments that ive ever seen. why cant we just be "the human race" and be done with it? everyone grow the hell up

I don't see this as a game changer or anything, but it's a damn good album with excellent lyrics.

"why cant we just be "the human race" and be done with it"

in other words "why can't we be color-blind and pretend racism doesn't exist"?

because even tho race is a social construct (there are no distinguishable sub species of 'human' and literally zero empirical validity to any biological basis for 'race') it is still very real in its consequences and pretending the perception of race isn't there de-values significant cultural differences that need to be accounted for on the journey towards equity for all peace out A-TOWN

Yeah, we have healing to do before the colorless society stage. Hopefully, we reach it someday BUT skipping steps will make things worse.

which is why the whole "your racist if you talk about race!!!!" argument is the biggest crock of bullshit of all time and also btw what the fuck are we even talking about this for can you all just stfu and talk about the music without supergluing it to a fucking ethnicity?

kendrick lamar did not write this album to provoke idiots on the internet to staple his album to white kids, no.
