Favorite solo artist for me is probably between Bowie and Björk. Bowie had more masterpieces but Björk was more consistent overall.

Far from an experimental music expert, but it is very quickly obvious, that this artist is a true genius, holy hell yes!
Always liked the way she sings and orchestrated his pieces, just starting today to properly dig his works. Very fun nice jam.
Agreed, the opener "Human Behaviour" and " One Day" are so damn catchy and melo good. Many great pieces with enough variation to please a diverse crowd, in different ways. "Play Dead", is a top tier closer.
This first "official" solo debut is so impressive.

In terms of the splicing of pop and off the wall structured tunes along with recording yourself in a bog it most definitely is.

I’m not John but I’ll tell ya something Play Dead when it came out was unlike anything that was in the mainstream at the time, it was sensational.
This album came out and it was a complete breath of fresh air.
