idk maybe cuz I temporarily wore out its welcome in the first two weeks it was out and I needa give it time to make it fresh but this I aint playin this half as much as I did or feelin a need to
furthest thing, started, connect, the language and pound/paris got me feelin a certain type a way tho

connect would be crown the best r&b song song in the past few years if it was just a hook or the verses/bridge would be consistent with the hook
the hook in connect is perfect and really show drakes got a real appreciation for tx culture and music. the melodies are straight h-town shit. simple straightforward melodies with no need for amazing singin ability that gives u that ridin a slab at night thru the southern city type feel, a delta blues type expression with a hint of pain/moroseness but moreso the feel thats best known as carpe diem of gettin as much money as u can now and ride on with life with a hunger for it
then u get to the verses/bridge and its bout love shit with tryin variations of the hook melodies in the same key but only makin less good copies of it

I like this new triumphant drake and acknowledge he acts like a ho less but when he does slip he doesn't make simpin u could fuck with cuz it was relateable with the perfect self-awareness and vibes like marvins room or good ones go
shit boi ill even listen to hold on when im sure nobody aint around cuz the synths are powerful and he shows good songwriting skills and melodies with the style as long as u feel the song and dont listen intently to lyrics with the "need your hot love and emotion endlessly" shit
but damn some of this is jus shameless boring female shit like the first in wu tang forever (tho the song deserves love for its bassline ahead of its time) or all or own it which shrinks my dick to listen to
