I kind of wish he was less explicit in songs like that and "things not worth fixing." I get that he is trying to make his lyrics more concrete, but things like struggling with faith or finding your footing as a young adult are inherently abstract, and not conducive to the straightforward storytelling that works well on the rest of the album.
