I did lol. I wouldn't say hated, but it took me a while to come around to. Still think that one song - you know the one - is kind of w.e but this album is too good to deny

I can't remember the last time I heard an album where the flaws compound the greatness of the awesome bits like this, rather than dragging it down

This is what one of the RYM users had to say about this album(https://rateyourmusic.com/list/AfterTheRain/how-pitchfork-ruined-the-taste-of-alternative-music-listeners/):
"Ok, they are not American, but their music is so hipster that it seems to come straight out of a Brooklyn charity shop.
On the celebrated "Silent Shout" they played tedious synth-pop music, without the glimpse of a catchy chorus. After listening to it, I realised how indie-kids are just not familiar with the old masterpieces of that genre at all.
Anyway, their new album is even worse: pretentious noisy experimentations, trivial hypnotic rhythms, awful vocal lines which pretend to be melodies, whilst they barely resemble a properly written tune."

I love how the guy completely missed the point of the music.

I tried to comment here earlier but could not find any words that weren't hysterically pissy or needlessly anti-RYM. Same deal now, but I'm not gonna try a third time :/
