Alright, I'll play around with this new ratings toy too.
On his 6th EP 'Leaving', Sonny 'Skrillex' Moore finally buckles under the constant criticism of failing to evolve & experiments a little. Predominantly eschewing the furiously edited electro-house meets dubstep of his previous releases, Moore produces something a little more minimalist & pensive here. Not all of it works & it isn't a very cohesive EP, but for an impromptu recording which was given next to no promotion, it's a curiously interesting listen. While not what one would call enjoyable, this EP is at least short (its 3 tracks clock in at under 13 minutes) & an insight into what direction that belated debut LP may take. Recommended Track: The Reason.
