It's not because he's rapping fast. It's more the tone of the song and how he's half singing/half rapping and sounding a LOT like the style the Bone Thugs made popular.
It's basically the alcohol version of Bone Thugs' Ecstasy. Even the second verse where Kendrick is talking to himself and shit is pretty much just like Layzie's verse in Ecstasy.
I used to listen to rap exclusively, and I've been into it hard since the late 90s. If you can't hear any similarities between Swimming Pools and Bone Thugs, you haven't heard enough Bone Thugs.
That being said, that's pretty much the only song on the album that has the Bone influence. The rest of it is pretty unique as far as new hip hop goes these days.
