yea ozzy wasnt the most gifted singer either but hes fuckin ozzy and so many vocalists bit off his style regardless. it fit the music and was unique. now he was a much better singer than mustaine but the point stands. give me character over technique all day.

I agree that overall character>technique, but that is contingent upon you enjoying the "character" to begin with. I don't think anyone's arguing that technique>character or that Mustaine doesn't have character in his vox. It's definitely character. It just happens to be a fairly annoying and undesired vocal character to me.
