Whose salmon-flushed cheeks are migratory goodbyes

With all the bearing of a shared latte over

Two weeks out of date and nursing schizoid fantasies,



She clasps transients in her lipstick hyphen.

And at the ambulance howl the hounds of Dionysus;

Their rippling, burgundy jowls, their spirited eyes – they siphon

Each other moot, dismissing daughters to the tonic.
