I know I'm late to this party but holy shit this is amazing. I think I like Red best so far but I'm only on my second listen through and I'm still digesting it. I'm not sure on ratings for the individual EPs yet but the whole collection is like a 4.5

Living outisde the US I’ve never had the chance to see The Dear Hunter live, neither all the bands they always get compared to in reviews (apart from The Mars Volta). I bought some Circa Survive stuff, some Manchester Orchestra, some Dredg, some Coheed and some Cambria etc etc… For me and my ears none of those bands (except The Mars Volta…) even get close to the quality of The Dear Hunter’s music. In terms of songwriting and singing Casey Crescenzo plays in a totally different league, and the great thing is that he keeps on getting better and better at it. “Act VI” will be a 6/5.
