@Soccer even if you were right, Tom Waits sounds like a stinking drunk and that's not a problem, so why discriminate homeless (what have they ever done to you)? Seriously though I can't believe you don't find at least "Moonlight on Vermont" and "My Human Gets Me Blues" catchy. I couldn't get the album out of my head after the second listen but maybe it's because by then I was very familiar with prog rock.

Been digging Cluster recently and their '71 debut is some sweet industrial noises to mash your head against. Like Lou Reed though, I'm glad they're not a one trick pony.

@SoccerRiot All is right, as I've said before I won't force you to like it, just don't claim it objectively bad and we're going to be friends. I love it, even the "HOBO CHAAANG BAAAA OOOO" lines I absolutely adore. (for me the hated vocalist would be LaBrie, man every DT album is a pain). Btw I gave MMM a 3.5 too but I'll certainly never listen to it again.

@deathschool there are lots of sound collage albums that would probably count. Maybe not "fuzzy" like MMM though. Check the Cluster debut for something pretty close but way more rad.
