Never saw this. I'll listen to the Youtube version because yeah I heard some crackling, most obviously

around 2:40 on the opener when this quiets down. Actually the last chorus is really bad in this sense,

holy shit it's awful. Now that I noticed it it's enough to actually make the song worse

it's the production. Specifically the drum production, the snare mixing is a little obnoxious but

This will never 5, it's really good for what it is, but something about their sound isn't full enough. So as a whole it doesn't really get grand enough for a 5.

I really enjoy Pull Me In. Something about that chorus screams Jimmy Eat World (even moreso than the rest of this album)

no problem. the early november - in currents is one of my favorite albums of 2012.
