someone tell me which thrice album i should jam. I don't know how true it is but i've heard they are somewhat like Thursday and No Devolucion is one of my fav albums.

Hmm I'd say try Vheissu and see if that tickles your pickle

I second Vheissu as a good starting point. This should work well too, seeing that you really like post-hardcore.
|
| |
Yeah I mean this is more balls to the wall energy but Vheissu is where they started experimenting with atmospherics and stuff. If you want something closer to No Devolucion then Vheissu or The Alchemy Index are probably your best bets
|
| |
Definitely Vheissu as well since you love No Devolucion, probably Thrice's most atmospheric album
edit: yeah chinesewhisper beat me to it lol

I've never understood the Thursday comparisons. Sure, they both fit under post-hardcore but that's really about it.

War All The Time's heavier bits are a little Artist in the Ambulance-esque, and Full Collapse recalls this album slightly. That's about it :/

The beginning of the Beltsville Crucible gets me so pumped and the rest of the song just doesn't deliver
|
| |
Agreed. While it is a solid track, I think it loses energy too soon.

Yeah I hadn't listened to this in full in a long time and when it started I thought "wow that's a killer riff, why did I dislike this track again?" and then just... :|

Problem is it feels more like two different songs stitched together

I've never understood the Thursday comparisons [2], though both are great bands.
