Definitely not the best Deftones album, but there are a few underrated songs that don't get too much mentioning. Needles and Pins, Battle-axe, and Deathblow are just great. The band, especially Chino, shows great emotion in each song, especially Needles and Pins.

2nd worst Deftones album. The heavy tracks are annoying as shit and the more mellow songs are bland, flat, murkey, and boring. Still kind of catchy though and still a hell of a lot better their alt metal contemporaries at the time, but this really has too much of a seperation between the atmosphere and the violence, especially after White Pony managed to balance those elements together so naturally.
