I knew I'd get that reaction. But the beginning of No Future Part Three is like nails on a chalkboard. Oh my god, it's awful.

Get with Titus or GET OUT.
BUt yeah, no, the vocals are pretty much really awesome. I have no problem with them and I love it when he has that transitioning scream in that song. But yeah his voice is pretty strong.

His voice is "pretty strong"? Define pretty strong. Because based off my basic knowledge of singing I it is not pretty strong. I'm pretty sure half of the time he just kind of bellows, pronouncing nothing, and it just off-puts me. When he's screaming or yelling or shouting, I love his voice. But his singing is not good. By any stretch of the imagination.

yeah i mean i get that people might not like his voice but for me at least thats a huge part of what gives him that spiteful flair, especially with the lyrics. i wouldnt want him to sing any better.

Patrick is best when his screams are bloodcurdling and his yelps ear piercing.

Haha. It's hard to expand on the vocals and what makes them so fucking perfect. There's a certain passion in his gruff vocals that epitomizes the sound of punk rock. Surely ihopuchoke can recognize the fact that his vocals certainly stand strong in the mix. His voice is steady and even in a technical sense I find them to be suitable. Ihopuchoke almost describes them as comparable to something like Drez Speziale's vocals, which is ridiculous. I think debating vocals is generally difficult, because some of the best vocalists have been in a technical sense godawful(see: Ian Curtis). But the vocals of Titus Andronicus without a doubt fit their music and I wouldn't want them any different. Surely ihopeuchoke can hear the intensity of his vocals to say the least, or at least admit that his rugged vocals mix well with the energy of The Monitor?
