Oh man, I always was under the impression they programmed them on here.
An amazing EP regardless. So many tasty riffs on here, and Jens does an incredible job once again too.

Haake is even more of a god than I thought if he played on here. Was always under the impression it was DKFH and that Haake always laughed off trying to play this live lol.

He does laugh that off, but it wasn't because of our hellish drumkit bro it seems. Wikipedia says this:
"That whole track was written and recorded just on random. Me and Fredrik would just jam on something, and when we found something that was kind of cool, he would walk into the control room. I would just record drums and it wasn't a set pattern, I would just kind of stray away from the pattern, but just keep going in that vibe. Then we had to chart everything and go bar by bar to record the guitars afterwards, because it's all just random."
Seems like an extended jam session that ended up superbly well!

as a drummer, i still don't know how he does those odd time signature snare hits on top of the odd time signature bass drum while holding 4/4 for the cymbals all at once about the 5:40 mark in the song. i don't think a drum machine could even process that lol

when the first riff of the song ends, there is a scream, but after this, if you do this:
1-I
2-I
5-III
try this shit
when the count is 111, is I I I, three duns separated
i learned that because to learn that duns you must to write the series of duns, is a riff that you have to learn with paper, so, solaris of special defects, there is a serie of duns too, with the difference that the drums are not programated, and morgan agren used the paper too
so, the riff of meshuggah arent easy to learn, and that two specially, but in this song the second part is imposible, i hope you realized of that trying to follow, i learn the rhytm of the hits of the drum too, and in this imposible riffs you have the hits of the drum too, so is the double of imposible
the last riff is posible and you can see the two rhythms and how to learnit:
panun panun (with hit of the drum in this last panunn
panun panun panun panun (with hit in the third)
-RYM
