I like the Lamb, it's just:
I don't dig the experimental noises, they detract from the experience for me.
You mean the two minutes or so in The Waiting Room? That detracts from the experience of a 95 minute album?
The brief experimental moments during the second half of the album only add to the experience for me. Stuff like the ambient pieces (Silent Sorrow and Ravine) and even The Waiting Room are just so well crafted and perfectly placed with regards to the concept and structure of the album.

As much as I like Lamb, the problem I have with it is its length. I'm not a big fan of double albums in general tbh, and I wish Genesis made the album a bit more concise.

Personally there's not a single part of The Lamb I would get rid of. One of the few double albums that is consistent throughout
and that more than justifies its length.
