Overrated album. Its fun, yeah, but not a masterpiece as a whole (except for the 3 songs we all know). Pretty decent, but it had its time.

The "3 songs we all know" aren't even the best songs on the album imo. Easily one of the most consistent hard rock albums of the 80's, every song rocks.

Rocket Queen, Nightrain and It's So Easy are probably my favourites.

Guns n Roses, Metallica and Nirvana are an important reason that hard music survived through the 90s. Agree?

Maybe they did (even though I don't agree), but these bands brought a lot of fans to this kind of music.

sure. Iced Earth, Megadeth among others carried the torch too.

Album definitely isn't overrated imo. The 3 hit singles are kinda overplayed and a little overrated though I guess.

Slayer released their best material in the 80s. Aerosmith were always a really mediocre band, but OK I guess Get a Grip was a commercial success. Iced Earth was probably the best Heavy Metal band of the 90s.

Regarding GnR, I respect your opinion 100%. Nevertheless, I'm a fan of what they did in the past. I always believed that Axl would return and kick some ass but I guess I was wrong.

Iced Earth had less success than Aerosmith for example because of demographics and publicity. But one cannot compare these two bands, they're different. Without Iced Earth there's no metal during the 90s. So, Aerosmith played their role in hard rock while Iced Earth theirs in heavy metal.

Nevertheless, the three bands that kept hard music alive in the 90s are the ones stated above.

haha, yeah success in turning into a nu, groove-metal band. Just joking dude. A lot of bands sell records just because of the stuff they've done in the past. Sepultura is one of them. They released a greatest hits in 2006 with recordings of the Max period.
