Neurosis has been going good for nearly two decades (since Souls at Zero, which I believe was released in '92).

Now that is "Longevity"

The only thing I haven't really like was their split thing with Jarboe

After listening to Isis, Cult of Luna, Neurosis and Rosetta closely together I do not understand why

Isis are the most well known of the four.

Neurosis SHOULD be, but Oceanic was and still is really big, so I guess they and we'll all have to live with it.

I don't know, if you know about Isis, you probably know about Neurosis. It's just that bands like Underoath and Norma Jean have mentioned Isis every now and then.

True. Aren't there hipsters that listen to Isis as like the only metal they listen to or something?

I hear you eternium, The first time I heard of Oceanic was when Cory Putman (vocalist of Norma) said in an interview that they blasted it incessantly while writing O God, The Aftermath.

Panopticon was a refinement of that groove they did on Oceanic. If anything, this is an extension of In the Absence of Truth where they combined melody with that chugging groove. To this day still, In the Absence of Truth will always be top album for me.
