Seem like a 3.5 to me. Not as many memorable songs on this one.

As a whole kind of odd but still good.

I remember some time back, Redannihilation said something like "Crack the Skye, More like Crack The Arse!"

Good times

"Hardly bad enough to complain about though."

Who said I was? The production could have been a lot better.

protest the hero > you though.

Anyone who puts PTH in the same sentence as Trivium and A7x is obviously an idiot. But some of us realized that already.

After quite a few listens I would say, Oblivion, Divinations, The Czar and Crack the Skye are the best songs here.

^ Switch Divinations with The Last Baron and I'd agree.

You should hear some of their other albums if you liked this, sleepyhead.

The Last Baron is pretty beastly but gets pretty boring after a while, the "I guess they would say brah brah brah" part mixed with some guitar wanking for 13 minutes gets a bit repititive. But I'll admit the solos do get craaazaay.

Just get off your god damn high horse and listen to music like you want to, not like its your job. You write reviews non-professionally for a site that is reputed for its attention-seeking contributors. Give your readers something worth reading rather than feigning superiority.

I agree with PhantomLimb, it loses its appeal faster than most Mastodon albums. Leviathan's really the only one that's stayed consistent for me
