dam that actually sounds like ill like it better than his other recent work

apart from hubardo which ruled, most of the post-dowsing kayo dot is just meandering stupidity to me, or stuff so largely hit and miss it rattles my brain. wasnt into bld, coyote, gamma knife and I remember being eh about coffins which came out not too long ago. spaced out synth with vocal hooks sounds better than pseudo-prog-hardcore-symphonic-chamber-jazzcore

i think toby's time perfecting that above genre is gone, he peaked it with maudlin and peaked himself imo with choirs which is like the post-metal album from purgatory

ehhhhh debatable

its atmospheric sludge metal to me, but often leaning towards post-rock within it's 'metal' frame

marathon is absolute genius

No other band I listen to more, and I've never connected more with the sound of any particular group than KD; with each style change from album to album, I'm amazed at how each release still resonates with me on a deeply psychological/ personal level, to the point where it is haunting. Haunting in the sense that, not only do the albums strike such a chord of immense beauty within me, but also in an eerie sense, as if Driver has already been inside my head, seen my dreams, childhood memories, etc. No other band even comes close to doing that for me, besides maudlin
