Endgame is really good, but not as good as Death Magnetic imo. Since there's been some debate on the individual songs, i'm doing one of these:
Broken, Beat and Scarred>That Was Just Your Life>Unforgiven III>Cyanide>All Nightmare Long>The Day That Never Comes>The End of the Line>My Apocolypse>Suicide and Redemption>The Judas Kiss

if you download the guitar hero version of this album, it sounds like 1000 times better
I did, or at least a friend did and gave it to me
Endgame is really good, but not as good as Death Magnetic imo
I like them equally, though I'm one of the few. When two bands are so awesome I don't like to debate which one I think is better because I love them both.

"Broken, Beat and Scarred>That Was Just Your Life>Unforgiven III>Cyanide>All Nightmare Long>The Day That Never Comes>The End of the Line>My Apocolypse>Suicide and Redemption>The Judas Kiss"
The Judas Kiss is one of the best songs on the album, as is My Apocalypse

I do hear a lot of people say that My Apocolypse and The Judas Kiss are the best songs on the album, along with All Nightmare Long, but they just don't do it for me like some of the other songs on the disc. It's not that I don't like them, I actually like every song on DM to a certain degree.
It's just that they're not my favorites. To each their own.

oh, and LeperCon -- I see where you're coming from. I love both albums too, I think that since I grew up liking Metallica more than Megadeth (just by a little) that I gave the edge to DM. It really is a toss-up though.

I grew up liking Metallica more than Megadeth too, but I learned to like them equally, particularly after they both put out a string of mediocre albums. I prefer DM to UA though.

Word to the DM>UA comment. Although I think Megadeth wins the worst album contest (in that their worst album is better than Metallica's) because I think Risk is just a tiny bit better than St. Anger. I guess I go back and forth on that too. I actually didn't think Load was that bad. It would have have been better if they had cut it down to about 10 songs though.

Hehe I prefer St Anger to Risk- more aggressive so it was exactly what I needed at the time (I was 15, Nu Metal still hadn't died, go figure). I always said that Load and ReLoad, while not mind-blowingly good, were not bad either, though if they had taken the best songs from both and put them on one album, that would have been a super- SWEEEEEEET 90's metal/ hard rock record

Agreed. The track list would have to include:
The House That Jack Built
Until It Sleeps
King Nothing
Hero of the Day
Bleeding Me
Wasting My Hate
Ronnie
Outlaw Torn
Fuel
Memory Remains
Devil's Dance
Unforgiven II
Carpe Diem Baby
Fixxxer
Man, that would've been sweet. I hated St. Anger when it came out (i had just graduated high school and had begun vehemently hating nu metal -- I like some of it now) and I thought it was blasphemy. As the years have gone on I've begun to appreciate it more. At least songs like Dirty Window and All Within My Hands. Oh, and Sweet Amber.

lots of crap in that list

St. Anger was my 5th Metallica album, I skipped to it straight from their first four. Sweet Amber, All Within My Hands, St. Anger, and Shoot Me Again are all great songs in my opinion.

Only unforgiven and the horrid instrumental brought this album down for me.

Maybe I'm not hearing what everyone else is hearing but I don't see how this album is supposed to be remotely good.

yeah sucks apart from a couple of pretty good songs

It's sure no Avenged Sevenfold, that's for absolute sure

This isn't bad at all. People bash this just because its Metallica and they're an easy target these days.
