Remember when Green Day was good? Remember when Billie Joe wasn't one of the most laughable twats in the music industry? Remember when this band just played raw pop punk from the heart and didn't have to wear 3 pounds of eyeliner, skinny ties, and suddenly out of nowhere decide they're a political band who writes slightly faster mid-00s Foo Fighters songs over and over again?



This was THE band that got me into music when I was 6 years old, right after Dookie came out. Dad gave me the cassette tape and it changed me forever. Fucking breaks my heart seeing what an abysmal shit show they've been pretty much since Warning (sorry, I have never and will never enjoy American Idiot).

I mean I was able to agree to disagree with ya Drifter but "'10's Green Day rules" is fucking laughable. They might as well be Imagine Dragons at this point, that's how utterly shit and bland their albums have been this decade.

That album rules so damn hard. I actually love the trilogy. Lots of nostalgia. Mostly with uno but dos rules. Tre is their worst album but it's still like a 3.

Nah they definitely are, they may actually in fact be worse at this point. And as I've said before, GD was my favorite band growing up and basically the first band that got me into music in general in 96. I check out every single album they release in the hope that they make good music again. Those hopes have been dashed over and over again. They haven't released anything close to a "good" album in well over a decade.



You can get a Revolution Radio all you want, smother yourself in that album and let it give you life. I found it to be the exact same quality of "meh, this isn't godawful but it sure as fuck isn't good" as I've reacted to every album of theirs since Warning.



Even if we're gonna agree that's a good album (and I don't agree), you're insane if you think anyone considers 2010s Green Day to be awesome. They've been harshly criticized on every album this decade (and for damn good reason---they're mostly shit).
