"a really technically and musically gifted band with progressive tendencies"

There's dozens of bands that do that, their vocalists don't sound that different from Bozeman.

To me Phil has the most distinctive and powerful growl I've ever heard probably so that's what would make it perfect imo

Bozemans Growls >

He would be an insane vocalist for a Tech death band.

Am I the only one who thinks he sounds like the vox in Hate Eternal? Whitechapel has always been bordering on Death Metal but bozeman would kick serious ass in death or tech death because of his affinity for it.

Fit for an autopsy comes close but they're heavily inspired by this band musically and vocally, so yeah Bozeman is probably best.

My second favorite might be CJ from TAIM.

omg his vox are ridiculous. The vocal bit before the last breakdown of Doomed at Birth is ungodly

Top 5 deathcore vocalists:

1. Phil Bozeman (Whitechapel)

2. Eddie Hermida (All Shall Perish) (Suicide Silence)

3. Ian Bearer (Rings Of Saturn)

4. Nate Johnson ( Fit For An Autopsy) ( Through The Eyes Of The Dead)

5. C.J from (Thy Art Is Murder)

If I want some good solid ass deathcore I almost always go to Carnifex and can pick pretty much any one album because they're all great. That's not to say they just make the same record every time because the newer two albums changed things up a bit with the piano and black metal influence.

I should check those out, I've only heard their first few and they were decent but very repetitive

I'm of the opinion that they pretty much improve with every album.

I'm not too big on carnifex, kinda boring imo and consistently average. How do you not like Ian vocals? Massive lows and razor blade highs, dude absolutely kills it live as well.

Daemon is still the best song they've ever recorded.
