Oh, the memories of when I was still in middle school. It's Not Safe to Swim Today is a bonafide jam even to this day, tbh.

This album i think is relatively acceptable for this genre. Short and sweet and really good songs. Who cares about breakdowns honestly. If this is deathcore then what is there just supposed to be no breakdowns? Wrong sir.

"Meshuggah copy catting."

Meshuggah started in 1987, so does that mean every metal band post-1987 are talentless clones? Ok.

"The majority of the album isn't well executed"

What does that even mean?

"mostly limited to a monotonous low growl"

Thats deathcore bud.

"Bass is of course mostly inaudible and the drummer, seemingly the most naturally talented member of the band, holds back pretty much the entire time."

Aww, looks like hes running out of things to say".

"there isn’t a single song that’s good enough to sit through in its entirety."

Proof that you didn't actually listen to the album, and this review becomes even more biased and confusing than what it already is.

"Breakdowns are thrown in multiple times a track as necessities and do more harm than good"

My God how old are you? I think you should stop listening to metal entirely, because you are pointing out shit that has been in the scene for decades, and apparently you can't handle it.

"The Common Man's Collapse is an inexperienced band going through the motions before their 15 minutes are up. If these guys are the saviours of deathcore, I’m guessing it’s a lost-cause."

Delete this part, makes no sense.

I saw them live with animals as leaders and never listened to them before and they sounded like periphery

I listened to some of matriarch and some of this and they should've just stuck with stuff like this cuz now they sound like periphery 2
