I'm going to have to go with "How To Disappear Completely" - the song owns my soul.

Amnesiac is not better.

I agree with both sentiments there Jared (gonna have to get used to that). How to Disappear Completely is one of my favorite songs ever

Amnesiac is my last soundoff for my 5s, if I hadn't already spammed the soundoff section with my articles already I'd have reasonable proof in support of Amnesiac being a better album than Kid A.

Amnesiac is great but it is certainly not better than this. So many more standout tracks on this album. Amnesiac kind of just flows. It's great mind you, but certainly is no Kid A :P

No offense there Caleb, but by "reasonable proof", I think you mean subjective opinion, correct?

I was actually being sarcastic, haha.

Ah, my apologies then - it seems I can't pick up on the intentions of users over the internet.

Yeah, I did soundoffs for my 5s as well. Did you copy me, copying Adam and Davey, or did you just randomly decide to do it too?

Copying you, personally; didn't know that Davey or Adam did that as well... I'll go read those.

Ah, fair enough. I saw your Viva La Vida and decided to write one of my own.

So anyway back to Kid A, was this an immediate thing for most of the users here, or did it take you several listens? I had to listen to it at least 15 times to start to grasp it.

That actually sounds like a very intelligent thing to do. Maybe I'll have to do that also... /creep...

Not at all. Regardless, I'm sorry.

It was pretty immediate for me at age 24, but when I first heard the album (only once) I decided I hated it bc I was a 15 year old kid into metal and hardcore exclusively. So, when I decided to give Radiohead a shot last year, I got OK Computer first which was kind of a grower and then got Kid A which I loved basically instantly.

This was actually the best first listen I'd ever had to any album. I had to go through all the rest of Radiohead's discography first, but once I listened to it in full it was fantastic pretty quickly.

Kid A was an instant love for me. I remember listening to it in the winter time, and it just clicked so heavily to me.
