der ring des nibelungen is probably the best musical work.. the orchestrations that aren't hours long and omit the opera element

https://www.youtube . com/watch?v=-HujjNQPv2U for example

but the bach cello suites are also mind blowingly perfect

its actually incredible learning about the motifs and structures behind his symphonies, it completely changes the way you listen and appreciate them

WYWH should be top of the charts given that it's an actual album

classical music shouldn't be on the charts at all. create a separate section for them, fine, but not on the main charts

Well it actually is now, Jaq.

Somehow people thought that Kid Cudi's latest album is better than this.

@budgie: the cello suites are nothing compared to other works from him. The genius of Bach is simply on another level and if is true that music is not a competition, is also true that nobody can compete with Bach.

i hear a lot of positive opinions regarding bach lately, probably should give him a listen.

as for this piece, well let me just say that if beethoven were to be born today, he'd probably play power metal tbh

How are the cello suites "nothing" compared to his other work? Suite no. 3 is one of his best works

I guess they're not as good as Goldberg Variations or Art of Fugue but they're still pretty fantastic, maybe you haven't heard the right players
