Never been a huge Machine Head fan but after hearing this album, I decided to buy it. I think its pretty good, and look forward to their upcoming album.

This album is really much better than the reviewer gives it credit for. Sure, some of the songs are boring, but Slanderous, Aesthetics Of Hate, and Halo are great.
The review reads more like a 2.5, so I have no idea why this idiotic reviewer gave it a 1.

I too think this album is extremely overrated, but i thought the longer songs were written really well. Having said that, 'Beautiful Mourning', 'Now I Lay thee down' and 'Slanderous' are mediocre. 'Aesthetics of Hate', whilst it may be some sort of tribute to dimebag darrell(RIP), still doesn't improve my already generous rating of this album. On the whole a good album i thought.

1.0 - awful ????!!!!! Are you really deaf man?? I am writing about the main review. The Blackening is the best Thrash Metal album of the decade without any doubt and The Formation Of Damnation also.
New album Unto The Locust is next kick ass release, for me album of the year.
