I feel like you have to have a completely reductive and immature way of processing art to say that, because it implies that you take lyrics literally and put them through some sort of politically correct litmus test.
What if you really care about someone and they betray you? Perhaps you would feel urges stemming from anger that you may suppress in real life, but want to express in art as a form of catharsis. Maybe these urges really are unsettling or wrong, but why can Daryl not write about them? Because he’s a man?

apparently it is included as the final track for this album on some new version released just this year as the final track: "The vinyl release of Worship and Tribute featured in the band's 20+ Year Anniversary Collection, released in 2022, features the re-recording, as was initially intended."
