I think I've said it before but Moonlapse never clicked for me and I've heard Face Of Melinda waaayyyyyy too many times, so it kind of bores me now. Certainly not their best, yet still excellent and it has The Moor and Godhead's Lament, both of which are up there for best Opeth songs. Plus those solos in White Cluster.

The odd awkward forced lyrical line and Mike failing to put down the E-bow bumps it down from 5 territory for me. Still great, if perhaps a bit pretentious in concept, but that's fine.

Only made a full tour on these dudes one year ago. Only had GR fived. I'm not biased with expectations or nostalgia on the band lol...but some of this early ones I owed a few more listens. I'm completely drowned on this and MAYH tbh
