I feel like “heavy” isn’t even a valid description for Crossburner, listening to it just makes you feel….powerful? I legit can’t think of a good word to summarize how epic it is

Yeah, that is the reason this is my favourite too. Tbf though, even if this is their worst, it is still really fucking good. Agree on Crossburner. It never fails to pump me up.

This style of metalcore is just so hard for me to enjoy, not used to it at all. Maybe one day I will get it..

"their worst but still good ye"

Rare hard agree w/ Pika here, ye. Some of the songs on hear absolutely rip tho fuckin Crossburner and Hero of the Soviet Union mmm.

It definitely took a bit for Dillinger to click with me, I was painting a house one summer in like 2010 and just had Ire Works and Option Paralysis on repeat, something about it rly took my mind off the menial work and the repeated listens really made them gel with me.

Tracks like that make me have a greater appreciation for Greg. Like I don’t even know how you would begin to throw vocals over some of these instrumentals. Song is batshit and I love it

Puciato's vocals in that track is fucking amazing. Particularly in that clean bit. The drums as well are truly incredible and steals the show sometimes. Glad that I am not the only one to think Magic is extremely overlooked.

Yeah man all their stuff rips so hard I have a hard time calling any of their stuff "worst" lol. Maybe some just a little less amazing than others.

Don’t see how someone could call any of their albums the worst as they are all quality releases. This is my personal favourite though.

It's imo the best point of entry for DEP. The chaos and catchiness are both here in spades. It's def unhinged but it has its share of big melodies.

I 100% agree that this is the best entry point to Dillinger.
