Death overrated?



The truth is that Sputnik has a decent user base that knows how to appreciate music (DECENT, not everyone or a higher percent). That`s why you see Death praised so much HERE (i don't see it mentioned enough in most metal and hard rock music sites / webs / magazines whatever), because word of mouth spread here, everyone checks the band and figures out what makes it good.



Also, the band has a really DIVERSE and RICH discography inside its Death Metal realm / genre, that makes it even more worth of praise. You might not dig the OSDM style of the first two albums, or maybe its mix with social commentary on the third, or the change to tech dm on the following two and finally its progressive evolution on the final duo, but its HARD to not like / hate all of them at the same time. And if you enjoy all those types of music.. then you're in for one of the most consistent and great metal bands ever.



Sadly, the band is really underrated in the mainstream metal community. At this point, Human, Symbolic and Leprosy should be headlining those frequent "influential", "decisive" and "best" metal list that pop like every week... but no, you get personal likes of the reviewer in turn, without taking into account the real value of the albums..

He's a huge fan of AC/DC and Lamb Of God is probably his favorite band but when I try and show him this some Death, he has no interest whatsoever. He's too lazy to even listen to it...
