while i agree the execution is mostly perfect, i can't say there's much effort in creating anything that i haven't heard in countless "poor me" movies targeted at impoverished black audiences. so i would say it's an imitation

Rap doesn't have to be 'completely original' to satisfy me, but there's hardly an original topic on this entire album, I actually don't think there is a single one tbh. And i'm not just talking about 'someone might have done this topic somewhere rapping in Guam', he's reusing themes that have been beaten to death for over thirty years. It's almost like his story is fake. There's almost no idiosyncrasy to it at all... at least on some tracks

This review literally says "the album is a classic for its originality". I had to beat my head against a wall explaining how everyone from NWA to The Game has already done this exact album, 250 comment-pages later, you guys have finally given up and admitted this isn't original, at all, but hey its ok cuz its 'executed well'.
