Yeah as much as I enjoy Disso Death, not much of it actually sticks with me after the albums end, it's tough to make it into something that's memorable imo but somehow these guys accomplished it here

Guts and Ulcerate stand about shoulder to shoulder for me, but Guts get a bit of favor for the fact that they were really originators in addition to being perfectors. Ulcerate are a bit more abrasive and I love that about them. As an aside, I remember seeing metal show in ATL (Mayhem, Cannibal Corpse, Gorguts, Blood Incantation) and the amount of Cannibal Corpse fans who literally had no idea who Gorguts were was fucking astounding.
