what did they mean by this?

I have tried repeatedly to get into this album, but something about it does not sit well with me. I generally enjoy post rock (that's what this is considered, yeah?) but I dunno.

@underflow i get that. i love this but im not big on post rock. theres not a huge connect between this sound and where the genre really fell into imo

for me it's the mood this album puts me in
I love David lynch and this is the equivalent of his work in music form for me
It's like an unsettling dream that's both cold but inviting

also the production on them drums is fuckin phat

Possibly disagreeable take but i think my least favorite track here is the opener (Breadcrumb Trail). Still a bangin song; still nearly perfect. But I do prefer every other song on the album by various amounts.
It’s like choosing a least favorite M&M color tbh 🤷🏼♂️

and yea For Dinner is quite incredible

alright I heard washer again and I realized I'm being unnecessarily harsh, cus the music is really dang good in that one - that explosion is one of the best moments of the record for sure
I jus think the vocals and lyrics could have been so much better, but I'm probably in the minority on that one
regardless, I might end up 5ing this soon

okay doggies, i have another question
what is a soundoff? just commenting on an unreviewed album?
|
| |
it’s just a quick little blurb you can write about albums you rate. it can be on albums with or without reviews, doesn’t matter. to see soundoffs on an album with a review, click the “user ratings” link in the upper-right corner of the page (on an album’s review page).

thanks
on topic, this album has slowly grown on me over the course of a few listens. think i'll finally cop it. it is, as they say, knocky.
well... i say it, anyway.

"nosferaftu man" and "good morning, captain" are my two faves on here for sure
"washer" has this cool doomy post rock vibe that makes me think of someone walking home alongside the railroad tracks on a light rainy night
