despite the two backbreaking turnovers the offense was far more functional without pickens than last week. getting worried about this defense though, becoming apparent they're quietly not super great on a down-to-down basis when they can't generate turnovers. secondary missing every starter besides minkah now. watt struggling to play on a sprained ankle. not surprised at the loss but disappointed to see them limp to the finish like this.

feel like the eagles are the only real juggernaut right now. (speaking before the 1:00 games kick off)... the bills feel like they're in their own tier in the afc but their defense is looking shaky lately and they got flat out stomped by baltimore earlier in the season. don't need to go over the chiefs concerns again here but yesterday was def one of their better performances of the season (even if houston is a completely unserious team at this point).

i mean no you can't really account for who gets injured and when but aside from that by november its not super difficult to extrapolate who teams are through the rest of the season.

biggest issue is 99.9% of people struggle to be honest and objective about their own team + teams they personally dislike which causes a lot of rather reactionary biases. people shit on the skips and stephen as and cowherds of the world but in reality none of us are any better.

Redzone is god awful and the guy they have there "analyzing" the games has no idea what he's saying/talking about. My biggest gripe with my team is that they talk up how great their defense is but in reality the last 2 weeks the defense has been god awful. Run defense was non existent yesterday. Secondary is completely injured and was also awful yesterday. Minkah finally gets a turnover and Russ responds by throwing a pick 6 on the very next play. I'm sick of late season collapses. I watched Ben Roethlisberger and a dominant defense take this team to 3 Super Bowls and win 2 of them. The standard is championships and anything less isn't good enough, period. If Tomlin can't get it done then they need to find an up and coming coach (Ben Johnson) that can. I'm sick of the ra ra shit. Its time for results.

i wouldn't really say the steelers are collapsing so much as their schedule is just evening out. we went into the season knowing the first half of the year would be easy and the second would be brutal and it pretty much has played out as such (didn't really expect wins @was and @cin tbh but they pulled those out, also didn't expect to drop a game to cleveland tho, but overall +1 from what i was expecting). i've had @phi / @bal / kc penciled in as losses since august tbh haha. but they took care of business early in the year so its ultimately not gonna matter too much.

i don't like it coinciding with the injuries and the defense evidently taking a step back but nobody was sent to IR still time to get some of them back. besides russ missing the first 6 weeks or whatever this team has had great injury luck up to this point. even highsmith and the potentially grave oline injuries from earlier in the season got smoothed over by arguably better backup play.

I think it does matter because then you go limping into the playoffs. Idk man I just want Pickens and Deshon Elliott to get healthy then maybe they have a chance. But if Russ does what he does yesterday then its all over. You can't fumble on your own 4 yard line, especially like that. And the pick 6 is inexcusable. They had every chance to win that game and Russ threw it away.

pick 6 be damned, we were only in that game to begin with because of russ and the offense and i'm perfectly happy with how they played given we didn't have pickens. russ was making huge throws to guys like ben skowronek and mycole pruitt... who i'm not even sure the most degenerate of steelers fans knew existed before yesterday

Oh the 96 yard drive was pathetic. Defensive injuries are making an obvious impact. Deshon Elliott not being there is a huge loss and Minkah ended up being the only starter in the secondary to finish that game. Yeah Russ looked good for the most part but his 2 turnovers directly lead to Ravens points. If he doesn't fumble, we're up 14-7 and its a completely different game. Who knows what would've happened but it obviously flipped the game completely.

I'm hoping the Eagles are a first round exit every single year until Philly fans learn to behave. I still remember how they acted on the road to and when they won the Super Bowl.
