'Also an average Maynard is still better than those post-metal hipster screamos.'

Ah yes, post-metal 'screams', the absolute staple of a hipster's diet wherever you look. Does 'I don't like it' = hipster now? I bet these guys have a ton of hipster fandom.

Don't tell me there isn't a commonality between post-metal frontmen!

"He's singing like an angel, literally. For me is very emotional. It's different from other Tool albums for sure, but I love it."

"MJK does not scream on this album. So what? The change from aenima to lateralus is huge too."

Who is this guy with all this nonsense of being right about this all the time!? X)

Egarran what happened last time you met a hipster did they bite you did they break your heart did they steal your pet
The only thing I can extract from this comment is that Time Will Die And Love Will Bury It (surely peak post-metal hipsterdom) shits on this

Johnny, that's a very hipster choice, given that it's not even post-metal. Mind blown.

I like that album a lot, its just on the math/hardcore side of the Post.

It took me a long and hard time to like it, because of how hyped it was and how everyone was in love with the the naive little girl, I admit...

Yeah you get me - it's not mathy or hxc enough to fall completely into either of those camps but it's not post-rock/metal enough to be that either. If that's not a hipstery identity dilemma, idk what is ;]

I'm starting to appreciate how good that album is, always enjoyed it but man am I tired of core music. I usually just want hard as feck riffs these days, tired of all the art-house post-tDEP wannabee bullshittery... yet that album works wonderfully well as a complete experience. Very impressive.
