Not really, I still enjoy the album, but the rest of their discography (bar their last album) has better highs and a more enjoyable atmosphere.

This is actually a respectable ranking, I have this ahead of PF & Ashes ahead of Marrow, that's mine. Marrow has grown on me so much lately.

Marrow is excellent. It's such a different album for Agalloch, in a good way. It's raw and cold and just hits the spot in the dead of winter

Marrow is excellent yea, it's not perfect but a lot of it holds up to the big 3. I hear a lot of consensus that it's their most aggressive and raw, and while there're some major bm moments in Marrow, it actually has more lighter, soft sections than any of their others besides The Mantle, and stuff like The White obviously.

Damn, gotta revisit Marrow. These averages tend to give me tunnel vision. A 3.8 is still pretty damn high, but obviously I'm gonna pay more attention to the three 4.2+'s

I don’t think some people were happy with the change in direction to a more traditional BM record, it’s still very much an Agalloch release though in my opinion, just a little different. I was unsure at first but it grew hard, the atmosphere sucked me in.
