I was watching some live footage of the band that was from the time they released this and it's quite amazing that:
1. The sound quality of the videos was so good
2. The band could actually replicate this music almost perfectly in a live setting

It's funny how often I hear people say this took years to grow on them, for me I understood it immediately. I understood it from the first 5 seconds of the t/t. Before I listened to this album I was wondering if there was an album that sounds like it's struggling to support it's own weight like a wounded animal trying to stand up, and with Obscura I found my answer

obv we all loved this at first listen but I'll say it took about 10 listens* to really get the song structures
