Tool fans are like children with a withholding father. When an official release date is finally announced, they'll be like 'I don't believe you dad! You never loved me'

Children who were conceived while their parents were on LSD, grow up to be indigo children with heightened awareness and emotional maturity, aka _real Tool fans_.

Most people's views on quantum mysticism is a crock of shit, but there actually is a rational basis for believing in a quantum spirit.

I was just using "quantum spirit" as sort of a catch-all for things like "quantum healing crystals" and shit lol
Everything I've read that tried to merge quantum physics with new age stuff / spirituality was a bunch of nonsense. Can you direct me to a decent source that talks about "quantum spirits" or explain more about what you mean?

Check out the Many Minds Interpretation of Quantum Mechanics. It's been a while since I was a Physicist but the synopsis, as I remember it, is this:
Quantum phenomena defy explanation, which is why things like the Many Worlds interpretation and the Copenhagen Interpretation exist. However, the Copenhagen Interpretation posits that the act of measurement collapses the wavefunction of a quantum system. However, if you look at this interpretation closely it breaks down because the question of "Why is the observer outside the quantum system?" arises. The observer, if they were a purely physical entity, should be a part of the wavefunction of a quantum system and should not therefore be able to collapse it. One possible explanation for this is that the conscious mind exists outside of the quantum system and therefore it is consciousness that causes wavefunctions to collapse.
To use an example, I assume most of you have heard of the Schrodinger's Cat experiment. The cat in the box exists in a superposed state of ALIVE *and* DEAD until observed (by opening the box) at which point the wavefunction is collapsed into the cat's ALIVE *or* DEAD state. However, why does your observing the cat collapse its state? If the cat and the box are a part of the same quantum system then your hand (which opens the box), your eyes (which receives the cat), and your brain (which interprets the visual signal) are which are all physical objects should also be a part of the given quantum system. Therefore, it is possible that it is your MIND which is collapsing the wavefunction and creating the ALIVE or DEAD state and therefore your consciousness is is influencing the outcome.
