It's warming up on me. Initial 2.5 but second jam is a 3.3. Damn my peanut brain for not picking up on subtleties!

it's so well written. the sound isn't the most original thing they've ever done, but it's executed excellently

Did they make True Love Waits worse though? I can't help but feel that this album version is inferior.

yeah, I think the vocals on the live version are much more moving and powerful. still, the pianos on the studio version are so f-ing beautiful. hard to decide atm

i never listened to any of the live versions of the tracks on here. i'm glad i didn't, i think people have a tendency to get attached to the version they're used to and see the newer one's changes as negative regardless

same shit with a lot of covers

Nah, new TLW is better. The somber piano makes it so much more painful

Same, kinda glad I didn't as well tbh cos then I wouldn't be like these cynical lot with the 'why they using old songs tho?' schtick.

Yeah but you NEED to listen to the I Might Be Wrong Version of True Love Waits. Please do yourself a favor. Top tier RH right there.

man doing that was honestly depressing

it made me realize that if i even made that a top 40 or top 50 there is a very high chance that nothing from the new album would even make that
