Sonisphere 2011.

Yeah it was JT, although it was the beginning of Mikael's growls declining so he couldn't hold those notes for too long.

Oic.

I'd love to hear how "THE EEEEEEYES" from Grand Conjuration sounds live

Honestly my least favorite off this, but it still rules.

Well...
Coil- Beautiful vocals.
Lotus- Can see why people don't like this one as much as others but holy shit the interplay between cleans and growls gets me.
Burden- Don't have to say anything
Porcelain Heart- Can be a weee repetitive at times, but the beautiful ending and verses makes up for it.
Hessian Peel- Favorite lyrics, love how intense this one gets in just a few minutes
Hex- Honestly I can't remember why I love this one so much, it had some cool effects I think.

And Heir is crushing but it just doesn't top any of the others imo.

Fair enough, just think Heir is so well written and paced.

what wait, were you refering to Heir Apparent or Hessian Peel when you said "least favorite", because Pleb obviously meant Hessian Peel in his comment.

Hessian Peel is one of my favorite Opeth songs, and the best on here imo. Hex Omega is my least favorite on here. Still cool riffs and a fitting closer, but it's more repetitive than the other ones.

too many titles beginning with H I reckon.

FOS is obvioisly confused. Anyway, both Hessian Peel and Heir Apparent are among the better half of the songs on this album.

"Burden- Don't have to say anything"

You kinda do cos in all honesty Burden kinda sucks.

Burden's good aside from the extremely cheesy verses

And that retarded acoustic outro with somebody cranking on the tuning pegs

Yeah I guess I read too fast (or mixed the two up), Hessian is one of my favorites while Heir is my least favorite.

"You kinda do cos in all honesty Burden kinda sucks."
It's usually loved by everyone, so I felt like I had nothing to say without sounding redundant.

i'm a little nostalgic for this album because it's the second one i bought (when it came out in this case), but after all this time my feelings on it come in close proximity to those of the lord dan swanö; it comes across as an awkwardly transitional album, trying too many things without 100% success rate (but it's still good)

heritage is actually better i think

The last proper Opeth album in my opinion. Hessian Peel and The Lotus Eater give me chills unlike anything they've done since.
