Urantia is a grower agreed. Wasn't hot on it at first.

Man, Chino must have been really craving honey when he wrote these songs.

When non-fans of the band rank the album lower than it should be kinda ruins the experience on here. I get it that music taste is subjective, but with Deftones music, play the album at least 5-7 times before accurately rating it. Deftones records take time to appreciate because each album is its own unique experience. If you are still getting into the group, listen to White Pony and Diamond Eyes first and then you will be able to more accurately critique Ohms. I also think Ohms is going to go back up to 4.3 or 4.4 when people start to connect the dots on the record. ;)

I mean, I get it, but certain bands take time to accurately rate. I have gone back through my ratings and rerated albums because they finally either clicked for me or they weren't as spectacular as I remember. That is all I am saying. Non-fans can rate, but if someone doesn't like this album, try out the rest of the discography first. Don't let the album be a turnoff to the band.

how dare you rate an album by a band before you've listened to their album at least 20 times and their entire discog at least 5

it hurts me more when fans of the band rank the album lower than it should be,

but I feel StonedManatee speaks the truth about the band. It takes time, and sometimes its even better to give it a rest and come back later...as with me...maybe later this night...cause I just can't stop.

For real tho I get your point, but you can't ask people to force themselves into deeply analyzing something. They listen, don't vibe, and won't ever listen again and there ain't no problem with that.

Oh, wow. People are digging this hard huh? I only jammed it once so far and idk how I feel about it. I did like the production way more than Gore, so that's nice. Album starts and ends well, but I don't really remember any of the middle tracks. Didn't like Urantia at all though. Feels like a 3/5 right now.
