I mean for sure. They seem to play their best ball between November and December and it’s incredible, but I’m just pointing out that the game was very unsexy lol

idk how stafford goes from great to giga washed every other week lol

If Puka is playing well, the Rams offense is dangerous. If Puka AND Kupp are playing well together, the Rams are a potential spoiler in the playoffs.

I think Kyren Williams is really the key. If he produces it can spoil defenses very hard. Add Kupp and Nacua to that mix and you get Demarcus Robinson scoring TDs lmao. Idk I’m just trying to have fun at this point

awesome slate today
i'm fully expecting a 35-10 beatdown from philly today tho. and if we somehow hang with them my playoff expectations for the steelers are gonna skyrocket. absolute nightmare matchup with pickens being out again.

HAVE FAITH ALEX DAMMIT RUSS IS 6-0 AGAINST PHILLY IN HIS CAREER AND 4-0 IN PHILLY!!!
No Pickens or Deshon Elliott really sucks though. But still have faith. If they can at least slow down Barkley they should have a chance.

people love to talk about the chiefs but how the fuck do the texans keep winning

tua is just fucking terrible lol

Well you were right Alex lmao. Shut down Barkley and yet had no answer for AJ Brown aka one of the best receivers in the game. Najee's fumble lost them the game at the end of the day though. Going in to probably score a touchdown and the moron just drops the ball. Fucking inexcusable. That right there is why they didn't pick up his option. Also having CP in the game over Warren at the end is mind boggling and Mike Williams isn't getting anywhere near enough playing time. Arthur Smith has some questions to answer because his playcalling at the beginning of games is absolutely god awful and reminiscent of Matt Canada and the personnel on the field is even more questionable.

Anthony Richardson is ass
Also I hope the football gods bless us with a Bills Lions super bowl

we just straight up have a dearth of skill position talent on the offense besides pickens, and while defense + 5 moonballs a game has been a winning formula against most of the league up to this point... its just not gonna be enough against elite teams.
despite all his dumb shenanigans our offense is just far too reliant on pickens, and tonight i'm not even sure the result would be all that different if he did play.
|
| |
wow almost like that's what i said all along :^)
|
| |
i very much remember you saying the offense's ceiling is capped specifically because russ is washed... when honestly its been closer to a "russ can't win with these cats" situation.
|
| |
i said moonballs and defense wasn't sustainable i'm sure you can find it. russ is better than he was in denver but he isn't good.

russ is good for a deep ball every now and then but man he looks awful in the pocket. that fumble being a prime example. dude is so fat and slow now lol. do you really think he can beat a good defense in the playoffs?
|
| |
I wouldn't say that he's not good. They just have 0 receivsr talent outside of Pickens and Friermuth who is a tight end.

the offense does move the ball better (would be hard not to) but it's still the same issues. relying on the defense to bail you out and getting extremely lucky. you can't tell me that first half wasn't the same ol steelers. russ is going to get smoked by a real defense.

yeah honestly couldn't be happier with how russ has played this year. and arthur smith has had a solid season play-calling especially when fields was starting.
offensive "struggles" this year are purely the fault of the front office. we already didn't have a lot of weapons last year, and then for all his bullshit, we traded diontae johnson away and just straight up did nothing to replace him. drafted roman wilson hasn't seen the field all season. van jefferson is a warm body. mike williams trade was cool but he's barely on the field and potentially washed. just not really where you want to be when teams like the bills/eagles/lions are loaded at every skill position.
and i say "offensive struggles" because we entered this week as the 10th best scoring offense lmao. we've maximized the talent we have, just not really too much talent to begin with.

i very much do not get "moonballs and defense wasn't sustainable" from this comment (nor any of your other comments)... and considering were 10-4 (and 4-1 against teams who'd be in the playoffs if the season ended today)... i kind of disagree with that idea entirely. still maintain a playoff matchup against any afc playoff team besides the bills is a winnable game (pending the severity of watt's injury today).

the chiefs at arrowhead is not a winnable game for the steelers.
