Yeah, Gore was definitely the "grower" album for Deftones, I really like their experimentation on that album (though it has less writing from Stephen Carpenter). I remember reading an article once where Chino stated that "Eros" would be released ONE day.

yeah they've been teasing it for years now, in any case it's cool that they were actually able to finish it recording-wise and all that would really have to be done is the finalization - at least that's what I gathered from the last coupla pieces I read about it a year or 2 ago
"Smile" rules tho, and the concept of an album of recorded material between SNW & DE alone makes my mouth water

Chino said the likeliness of them dropping Eros is mega low now Chi has passed, I doubt we'll see it anytime soon sadly. and I agree Gore is deftones least instantly lovable album, but it's massively grown on me.
also Pink Cellphone is fantastic, I love it, I see it as more of an interlude though I guess
