Certainly haven't heard any awful Patton material
literally like half of his lesser known side project stuff is crap
granted the other half is great

I guess you should probably define "lesser known side project stuff", if you mean Lovage-Peeping Tom-General Patton-Crank kind of
material that shit is fantastic

tbh i don't even think its nearly as emotional or artsy or however the fuck you wanna put it as everyone else i just think its really catchy well made indie rock

More or less agree, I think its very emotional but otherwise just a really good indie rock album, don't get the 'controversial classic' bullshit

dude. the guy literally has thousands of things going on;

while we are on the subject tho Lovage is mostly good tho thats one of my favourite of his projects. that peeping tom
album is the perfect example of half complete shit and half good. man the lyrics on that album are pretty much the
worst thing ever.

Haha goddamn I only know FNM, Bungle and Fantomas so you could be right for all I know pots
|
| |
Yeah. I have nothing against FNM or Bungle, they just aren't my cup of tea but Delirium Cordia is up there for best patton stuff too. Too bad none of the other Fantomas stuff is nearly as good.

Delirium Cordia is one hell of a trip but I love the Director's Cut too
|

directors cut is hit and miss for me. the twin peaks track is awesome tho

His big four projects (FNM, Bungle, Tomahawk and Fantomas) are all godlike for me honestly
And I've enjoyed all of his collaborative and soundtracky works that I've listened to, I just struggle to navigate it all

Still gotta check Tomahawk, sure I'd enjoy

His big four projects (FNM, Bungle, Tomahawk and Fantomas) are all godlike for me honestly
i find all of them inconsistent. when they are great they are great, when they are meh they are me
And I've enjoyed all of his collaborative and soundtracky works that I've listened to, I just struggle to navigate it all
honestly ive listened to more than i would care to have, i was a way bigger patton fan before i had heard everything he's ever touched lol

Has more of a straightforward metal sensibility than his other projects, but still creative and fucking awesome
start at the start with them
