Emmure just makes shitty music. Their fanbase is hilarious for sure but I try to go into things with an open mind. I'd probably understand being surrounded by douchebags that suck the dribble off the band's dicks as they give their guitars a good wank but I've never actually been to any kind of hardcore show.

but yeah, it totally is fair to not like music because of its scene, i can straight up say both of you have hated on bands like emmure because of the people who listen to them, btbams music still blows (most of it anyways) but having a gay fanbase adds to the mix for sure. who wants to go to a show and be surrounded by doochebags?
gotta disagree with this for the most part. sure i hate on emmure but its not cause of their fanbase, its because they have the most unimaginative and boring music in metal, plus the lyrics have the maturity of a 12 year old and the rap-type vocals are unlistenable. i like a ton of bands with shitty fanbases
