This is a great album. I'm excited to see if they have the balls to continue down this wonderfully bombastic road and make some music that isn't far removed from something like Muse.

I bought this before liking metal and when i listened to it, i thought that i'd wasted my money for that. The only song that i liked is "welcome to the black parade" (which is now OK for me).

Better to accept it because it's just my nature. There is no known way to keep a Slovac from being a sarcastic jackass. Even our DNA is unshaven and smells of vodka.

Well when you put it like that I guess my hands are tied.

hhmmm....
i'm noting that all the bands you say my chemical romance ripped off of are in the list of your reccommended bands. has it ever occured to you that elements like a piano driven intro or power ballads are concepts that guess what? MORE THAN ONE BAND HAVE USED. the stupid bands you say that they're ripping off of are bands that you probobly sit at home in your mother's basement listenting too thinking you're all cool and the fuckin shit but guess what? those bands haven't come up with those concepts and MCR is not ripping off those stupid bands.

It started off with a reasonable assertion...

the stupid bands you say that they're ripping off of are bands that you probobly sit at home in your mother's basement listenting too thinking you're all cool and the ****in **** but guess what? those bands haven't come up with those concepts and MCR is not ripping off those stupid bands.

And then somehow managed to fuck itself in the ass.

Of course, it's not as if I have very high expectations from anyone who feels the need to put three sixes in their username.

It's not that big of a deal to most people that MCR changed their sound to the tune of bands like Styx and Queen. The problem is that The Black Parade is so concept-heavy that it makes it hard to relate to - at least to people who don't worship the ground that Way and his crew tread. Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge was notably emo, but the point of the album rang loud and clear to the people who really listened. Even (or, especially) I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me your Love is better than The Black Parade in terms of accessibility.

I don't think that's the problem. I for example hate their earlier work, but I understand and can digest the subject material of The Black Parade.

I enjoy this album as opposed to wanting to retroactively unmake it or start a cult around it. The reason being that unlike most 14-year-old girls and Sputnik rabble who rate without actually listening, I have a functioning brain in my skull.

Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge was notably emo,

No it wasn't. Real emo is nothing like what you think it is.

And what you think emo is in all reality is not at all something that a sentient creature can relate to, because it's trite, cliche, and wholly manufactured to create a caricature of human emotions.

Peter Gabriel's song Come Talk To Me is far more emotional and powerful than any generic song about a bunch of scrawny young men screaming to some faceless female entity about how she never loved them. This Message Edited On 12.20.08
